The designs for Sanrio Hotel, a luxury boutique hotel in Tokyo, needed to translate highly recognizable intellectual properties into sophisticated resort touchpoints without losing their playful charm. The primary hurdle was balancing a pastel, hyper-branded aesthetic across a massive array of deliverables ranging from custom room accessories and gourmet menus to an intuitive digital booking experience and diverse interior spaces while also maintaining a unified narrative of elevated luxury.

The project establishes a bold, color-blocked pastel visual language that scales seamlessly across physical and digital mediums. The guest journey begins online with a clean, user-friendly website highlighting the Tokyo property's grand exterior, booking portal, and key amenities. Upon arrival, this digital promise translates into tactile luxury through meticulously crafted collateral: pastel-patterned keycards, custom heart-shaped character door hangers, and rose-gold accented in-room dining accessories.
The branding extends deeply into the guest experience with bespoke toiletries, character-trimmed pajama sets, and rose-gold backed menus offering gourmet, character-inspired dishes like My Melody's Enchanted Truffle Risotto. The comprehensive look book, bound in a wrap-around pastel cover, acts as the ultimate guide to this ecosystem. It visualizes everything from a monolithic pink lobby and a fully stocked gift shop to five distinct, color-coded character suites (Hello Kitty and My Melody in pink, Kuromi in purple, Cinnamoroll in blue, and Pompompurin in yellow), culminating in a fully immersive resort experience.
